Government Benefits and Info
Prime Minister announces expanded access to Canada Emergency Response Benefit and support for essential workers – To help more Canadians benefit from the CERB, the government will be changing the eligibility rules to allow people to earn up to $1,000 per month while collecting the CERB, extend the CERB to seasonal workers who have exhausted their EI regular benefits and are unable to undertake their usual seasonal work as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak and extend the CERB to workers who recently exhausted their EI regular benefits and are unable to find a job or return to work because of COVID-19. CMHA’s Mental Health Week 2020 – CMHA’s 2020 Campaign focuses on sharing how we really feel. Check out this article that outlines the benefits of sharing out we feel and some suggested things we could say instead of I’m fine. [Added 5/06]

Information Resource from Alberta Seniors and Housing – Alberta Seniors and Housing has compiled information geared specifically to Seniors. Seniors who need information and supports can still contact Alberta Supports at 1-877-644-9992. [Added 4/22]

Essential Visitor Rules and Information – Calgary Housing Company has taken steps to support pandemic response efforts by increasing cleaning of common areas, closing our front office counters, and reducing non-urgent activity at properties.
